I wrote his book for every entrepreneur, dreamer, or go-getter who knows they’re meant for more—but just can’t seem to pull the trigger.

I didn’t write Take Your Shot to tell my story—I wrote it to help you start yours.
This book is for the person with a dream, an idea, or a goal they keep putting off. It’s for the entrepreneur stuck in overthinking, the business owner waiting for the “right time,” and the everyday go-getter who knows deep down they’re meant for more.
Inside, I share the real lessons I learned from failure, risk, and stepping into the unknown. You’ll find practical mindset shifts, honest stories, and tools to help you stop hesitating—and start moving.
Because the truth is: you don’t need perfect conditions. You just need to take your shot.

I’ve been an entrepreneur for almost 20 years now—but it didn’t start glamorous. My journey began in real estate, first in residential, then into commercial. Along the way, I picked up a lot—portfolio management, market analysis, broker and investor relations—you name it. Real estate taught me how to see opportunity where most people only see risk.
Then came the ERC. I had heard about the credit and tried to find someone who could help my company file for it. After talking to a few CPAs and payroll firms and getting nowhere, I realized, “If I can’t find a solution, maybe I need to be the solution.” That’s when I decided to build a team of true experts in this space—people who lived and breathed this stuff. I took a page out of the book Who Not How, and that’s how ERC Specialists was born. Today, I lead our business development and marketing, helping businesses across the country get what they’re owed.
But outside of business, I’m a husband and a dad first. I’ve been married to my incredible wife Taryn for 22 years, and together we’ve got four amazing kids. I grew up in Morgan, Utah, where I was that kid who played every sport—but basketball? That was my thing. These days, I get to coach local youth and help them grow, not just in the game, but in life.
At the end of the day, everything I do—this book included—is about helping people take their shot. Because when you do, everything can change.
